Cora’s Sweets Cookies is a lifetime of trial and error.

I had my first bite of the original chocolate chip cookie at the age of eight. My mom’s job would give away free cookies, I always looked forward to the days when she brought them home. In fourth grade, I chose to bake cookies for a class presentation because I loved them so much! The objective was to share our favorite dessert with a finished product and demonstrate the steps and ingredients. Unaware cookies required so many ingredients and a bit of scientific accuracy, I jumped to it the night before. My batches oozed on the sheet pan as I watched it bake. Flat oblongs of burnt tasteless cookies came out the oven. I had no choice but to share it this way. It was on this day of the failed presentation my compulsive love of cookies truly began. I made a promise to myself I would have my own cookie recipe one day. As I got older, I spent late nights testing various methods and tastes to a perfect cookie.

Then, one early morning, I smiled and began Cora’s Sweets.
